  • What is the new telemedicine service?

    We've launched a new telemedicine service for our members in Singapore. The new service will be provided by Doctor Anywhere on a pay and claim basis only, and will allow you to access medical advice from your smartphone, anywhere, anytime*. 

    *Consultations are on a pay and claim basis only. 

    Consultation fee and medication will be covered as per the terms of your plan. Please note any Out-Patient deductible, per visit excess or co-insurance will apply as per terms of your plan.     Members must be located in Singapore to access this telemedicine service.

  • Why have you launched a telemedicine service?

    In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and public health restrictions in place in Singapore, we have acted fast to make available access to a telemedicine Out-Patient service for our Singapore members, in partnership with Doctor Anywhere.

    The purpose of the telemedicine service is to make it even easier for you to access the medical advice and treatment you need, anywhere, anytime. 

    During the current COVID-19 pandemic, we understand that many of our members may prefer or be required to engage in a virtual consultation, so we hope this new telemedicine service will reassure you that you can still access the treatment you need during this difficult time. 

  • Who are Doctor Anywhere?

    Doctor Anywhere are a healthtech company founded to improve healthcare delivery through innovation and technology. Their digital platform provides quick access to health and wellness solutions, wherever you are.

    They are part of the Ministry of Health Singapore’s (MOH) regulatory sandbox for telemedicine providers.

  • What telemedicine services can I access?

    The Doctor Anywhere telemedicine service offers*:

    • 24/7 access to Out-Patient video consultations with a doctor 
    • Free delivery of medication or prescription to your door if required (delivery of medication is free of charge except to the Sentosa and Tuas areas) 
    • Follow up 3 days later if you are still feeling unwell
    • Consultations available in both English and Mandarin

  • How can I access/ register for the telemedicine service?

    You need to register for the Doctor Anywhere service before you can access it. It's simple and easy to register. 

    1. Step one: Register your account by clicking here
    2. Step two: Once registered, download the Doctor Anywhere App and login.

    You can then access doctor consultations within minutes, anywhere, anytime from your smartphone!

  • Who can access the telemedicine service?

    The telemedicine service is available to all Now Health International members in Singapore.

  • Is the telemedicine service free?

    The telemedicine service is available on a pay and claim basis only. This means if you use the service you will have to pay upfront, and then claim back your expenses in the usual way, e.g. via your secure online portfolio or our mobile App. 

    The consultation fee and any medication expenses will be covered as per the terms of your plan. Any Out-Patient deductible, per visit excess or co-insurance will apply as per terms of your plan. Please note the delivery of any medication following a telemedicine consultation is free of charge except for delivery to the Sentosa and Tuas areas. 

    Please note, only Out-Patient consultations are available via the telemedicine service. If your plan does not include Out-Patient cover, then you will not be eligible for reimbursement.

  • How long does it take to access a virtual consultation?

    You can use the Doctor Anywhere App to connect to a doctor within minutes. Or if you prefer you can book a virtual consultation in advance. 

    The advantage of the telemedicine service is that it can help you to avoid long waiting hours at a clinic. 

  • What if I still feel unwell after my telemedicine consultation?

    The Doctor Anywhere team will follow up with you three days after your initial telemedicine consultation. 

    If you're still feeling unwell, they will advise on next steps and whether an in-person doctor visit is required. Doctor Anywhere have a number of partner clinics in Singapore where they can offer you an in-person follow up consultation. 

  • What sort of medical conditions is the telemedicine service suitable for?

    Many common illnesses and chronic conditions can be effectively treated through a video consultation.

    Below are some of the typical conditions that can be treated by the Doctor Anywhere telemedicine service: fever, cough, headache, sore throat, diarrhoea, vomiting, cold and flu, rash and skin conditions, dizziness, diabetes and hypertension, among others. 

    The doctor will assess your history, current symptoms and any other available documents to determine if your condition is suitable for a video consultation, or advise if an in-person visit may be required. Doctor Anywhere have a number of partner clinics in Singapore where they can offer you an in-person consultation if necessary.

  • I already use Doctor Anywhere - do I need to register again?

    There is no need to re-register if you are already a user of the Doctor Anywhere telemedicine service. 

    Simply contact the Doctor Anywhere team so they can tag your existing account as a Now Health International member. You can email the team at [email protected].

  • Can I use any other telemedicine service in Singapore?

    Doctor Anywhere are our preferred telemedicine partner in Singapore and we encourage all our members to use this telemedicine service where possible. We have negotiated preferential rates with Doctor Anywhere for our Now Health members, and we will reimburse you for a telemedicine consultation as per the terms of your plan. 

    If you wish to use another telemedicine service provider in Singapore, you must access this service on a pay and claim basis only. However please note that the 'Reasonable and Customary Charges' condition of your plan will apply, so we may not be able to reimburse you for the full cost of the treatment. Please refer to your Member's Handbook for further details.
