  • What is the new telemedicine service?

    We've launched a new telemedicine service for our members in Indonesia. The new service will be provided by Halodoc on a pay and claim basis only, and will allow you to access medical advice from your smartphone, anywhere, anytime*. 

    Consultation fee and medication will be covered as per the terms of your plan. Please note any Out-Patient deductible, per visit excess or co-insurance will apply as per terms of your plan.     Members must be located in Indonesia to access this telemedicine service.

  • Why have you launched a telemedicine service?

    In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and public health restrictions in place in Indonesia, we have acted fast to make available access to a telemedicine Out-Patient service for our Indonesia members, in partnership with Halodoc.

    The purpose of the telemedicine service is to make it even easier for you to access the medical advice and treatment you need, anywhere, anytime. 

    During the current COVID-19 pandemic, we understand that many of our members may prefer or be required to engage in a virtual consultation, so we hope this new telemedicine service will reassure you that you can still access the treatment you need during this difficult time. 

  • Who is Halodoc?

    Halodoc is an Indonesia health-tech platform that connects patients with doctors and pharmacies in one simple mobile application.

    HaloDoc connects users to a network of 19,000 licensed doctors, and 1,000 certified partner pharmacies through the medical delivery service ApotikAntar. Users can communicate with these medical professionals via chat, video and voice call.

    Halodoc is registered under the Ministry of Communication and Information as tele-consult platform provider. The doctors who provide the services via HaloDoc’s platform are registered with and licensed by the MOH.

    Halodoc is independent of Now Health International.   • Who can access the telemedicine service?

    The telemedicine service is available to all Now Health International members located in Indonesia.

  • What telemedicine services can I access?

    The Halodoc telemedicine service offers*:

    • 24/7 access to virtual consultations with a doctor, via video, phone or live chat
    • Delivery of medication or prescription to your door if required (a delivery charge will apply)
    • Consultations available in both English and Bahasa

  • How can I access/ register for the telemedicine service?

    You simply need to download the Halodoc App and register for the service using your mobile number. 

    You can then start using the App and access doctor consultations within minutes, anywhere, anytime from your smartphone!

  • What happens if I need a prescription?

    If you require a prescription following your virtual consultation, Halodoc are able to deliver prescriptions to your door in the following cities: Balikpapan, Bandung, Banjarmasin, Batam, Bekasi, Bogor, Cimahi, Denpasar, Depok, Gresik, Jakarta, Jambi, Kuta, Makassar, Malang, Manado, Mataram, Medan, Padalarang, Padang, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Pontianak, Samarinda, Semarang, Sidoarjo, Solo, Surabaya, Tangerang, and Yogyakarta. 

    If you are located outside these areas, you will be given an electronic prescription which you can use to pick up the medication locally. 

  • How long does prescription delivery take?

    Prescriptions are usually delivered on the same day as your consultation. However for out-of-hours consultations, the prescription may be delivered on the next working day. 

  • Is there a delivery charge for prescriptions?

    Yes, delivery costs will vary depending on the location but usually range between USD 1-5. Delivery costs are not eligible for reimbursement under the terms of your Now Health International plan. 

  • Is the telemedicine service free?

    The telemedicine service is available on a pay and claim basis only. This means if you use the service you will have to pay upfront, and then claim back your expenses in the usual way, e.g. via your secure online portfolio or our mobile App. 

    The consultation fee and any medication expenses will be covered as per the terms of your plan. Any Out-Patient deductible, per visit excess or co-insurance will apply as per terms of your plan. If you require medication delivery after your telemedicine consultation, a delivery charge will apply - this is not eligible for reimbursement. 

    Please note, only Out-Patient consultations are available via the telemedicine service. If your plan does not include Out-Patient cover, then you will not be eligible for reimbursement.

  • How long does it take to access a virtual consultation?

    You can use the Halodoc App to connect to a doctor within minutes. The advantage of the telemedicine service is that it can help you to avoid long waiting hours at a clinic. 

  • Can I use any other telemedicine service in Indonesia?

    Halodoc is our preferred telemedicine partner in Indonesia and we encourage all our members to use this telemedicine service where possible. 

    If you wish to use another telemedicine service provider in Indonesia, you must access this service on a pay and claim basis only. However please note that the 'Reasonable and Customary Charges' condition of your plan will apply, so we may not be able to reimburse you for the full cost of the treatment. Please refer to your Member's Handbook for further details.
