  • Why is my plan being transferred?

    Now Health International is continuously looking for ways to improve our global healthcare proposition and often reviews the structure and terms of our various partnerships.

    Your current plan partner - AXA PPP Healthcare Limited - will no longer be offering cover on your plan at renewal. Instead we are delighted to inform you that Best Doctors Insurance Limited, with its long-standing global knowledge, vision and relationships, will be offering your renewal terms. 

    Rest
     assured your plan will continue to be administered by Now Health International and you will still have the same access to our award-winning service and online tools. 

  • Who is my new insurance partner – Best Doctors Insurance Limited ?

    Your plan will now be underwritten by Best Doctors Insurance Limited.

    Best Doctors Insurance Limited (BDIL) has a 30 year history in international health insurance.

    You may be familiar with the name as our investors acquired BDIL for the Now Health International Group back in 2015 - meaning we know each other well!

    BDIL is a non-resident Class 3B insurer in Bermuda, one of the highest rankings of the BMA. It maintains this status due to its position as one of the largest health insurers operating out of Bermuda. 

    To be registered as a Class 3B insurer the minimum premium requirement is USD 50 million and Best Doctors Insurance Limited continues to comply with the ongoing solvency requirements the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) places on the company. 

    The Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) is one of the strongest and most respected offshore regulators, providing regulatory frameworks which are consistent with international best practice.  It is currently one of only two non-EU jurisdictions to have been found fully equivalent to the Solvency II Directive, which is held up as the gold standard of insurance regulation worldwide.

  • When will the new insurance partner take over?

    The change will take effect at your next plan renewal, on or after 1 March 2021, depending on the date of your renewal. 

    For example, if your renewal was due on 1 March 2021, your plan was transferred at that point. If your renewal is not due until 31 December 2021, you will not be transferred until then.

    Your renewal terms will be offered by Best Doctors Insurance Limited. A reminder will be provided in your renewal letter.

  • What do I need to do to continue my plan with the new insurance partner?

    When you receive your renewal invitation, you simply need to confirm you wish to renew our plan with us in the usual way. Our team will take care of the rest!

  • Will my premium change?

    Your premium will not be impacted by the change of insurance partner.

    However, your renewal premium may vary depending on a range of other factors including, your age, the cost of medical care in your region, and whether you qualify for any of our discounts.

  • Will my plan and benefits change?

    No. Don’t worry, your plan and benefits will remain the same. You can refer to your Member’s Handbook in the secure online portfolio for more details.

  • Will the way I use my plan and make claims change?

    No. Your plan will still be administered by Now Health International, so you can continue to use and access your plan in the same way.

    That means the same online claims processes, the same secure online portfolio and smartphone App, access to the same medical provider network, and the same Customer Service team on hand to help 24/7.

  • Will your contact numbers change?

    No. You can continue to contact our team in the usual way.

    Our contact number and email addresses will remain the same and can be found on our website here. Don’t forget you can also now WhatsApp us. 

  • Will my membership number change?

    Your membership number will remain the same, but the prefix will change from ‘EU’ to ‘BN’. This will be automatically updated at renewal.

  • Will I still be able to view my record and claims from the old plan after the transfer?

    Yes. You will still be able to view records from your old plan in the secure online portfolio. You can simply select a previous plan year from the drop-down menu to view your previous claims etc.
