David T. Youssef, Managing Director of Now Health's Middle East and Africa region has been honoured with the 'Outstanding Contribution by an Individual' accolade at the 2013 MENA Insurance Awards.
Held on 21 January in Dubai, the ceremony was part of the MENA Insurance Live event. The award was not scheduled in the original line-up and was a complete surprise to all involved, most especially David!
David was one of the first to recognise the importance of the international health insurance market in the early 1990s. He has trail-blazed many of the industry hygiene factors of today: large-scale network development, multiple fronting arrangements, compliant entry into Abu Dhabi, achievement of one of the first DIFC licenses and use of outsource zones to maximise customer service efficiency.
In addition to his commercial prowess, one of David’s other abilities is talent spotting. Many key market figures will site David as one of their major influencers and his mentoring skills have realised the talents of many in the market today. The relationships David has forged over his career place him in the centre of a circle of excellence, in turn providing him with an enviable black book.
Today is no different and David was part of the founding Now Health team, applying his superior knowledge of the MENA markets, product design, distribution, mentoring and proposition development to the brand.
