Now Health announces detail of semi-annual product and price review

Now Health International, the international health insurance provider has announced details of the semi-annual review, which will take effect from 1 August 2013.

The following outlines the detail of the price increases as well as additional information about some changes to our terms:

Now Health WorldCare Individual Plans:

- There will be a 2% increase for WorldCare Essential and Advance
- There will be a 2.9% increase for WorldCare Excel and Apex
- There is an improved premium discount of 10% for customers opting for the out-patient 20% co-insurance option (currently 8%)

Now Health WorldCare Group Plans:

- There will be a 2% increase for WorldCare Essential and Advance
- There will be a 2.9% increase for WorldCare Excel and Apex
- There is an improved premium discount of 10% for customers opting for the out-patient 20% co-insurance option (currently 8%)
- Medical History Disregarded Groups of 10 employees or more have a new option to remove the dental co-insurance with a premium loading of 7.5%
- Medical History Disregarded premium loadings have changed - please contact us if you need a revised quotation

Group Application form Review:

Two changes are being made to group application forms:
- For membership lists, we now need to know the start date of employment (for employees only)
- Details of any claims of USD 30,000 or more should be provided (previously USD 50,000)

All Asia Pacific forms:

In accordance with the Hong Kong Federation of Insurance's rules set out in the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance, a new statement will appear in the Important Notes section of our application form regarding intermediary commission.

Data Privacy Ordinance wording will also be updated in the members' handbooks, application forms and claim forms.

New premium rates with start dates of 1 August and beyond are available on the individual and company online quote engines.
