New affordable SimpleCare plans launched

11 Jul 2018

Today we have launched our new SimpleCare plans which offer more affordable international health insurance for the cost conscious, digitally savvy expat.

Our new product offers vital protection for all major health incidents including hospitalisation, surgery, cancer treatment, and evacuation and repatriation. Customers can also choose to add low (up to USD 1,000) or medium (up to USD 2,500) levels of coverage for out-patient treatment, including physiotherapy, dental and alternative therapies if they wish.

SimpleCare is designed to be completely digital, with members only able to access their plan documents and make claims via a paper free, seamless online customer experience.  In addition to our award winning digital tools including smartphone App and secure online portfolio, we’ve developed new cutting edge mobile passes which can be downloaded into members’ smartphone wallets, making it even easier for our customers to access their plan when on the move.

This plan is flexible so it can be tailored to the different needs and budget of each of our members. Customers can choose from eight different levels of annual deductible for all types of treatment (in, day and out-patient) – the higher the annual deductible, the lower the premium. Other risk management tools such as a co-insurance and per visit excess can also help customers manage their healthcare costs more effectively.

Default regional geographical restrictions of coverage are also available for members located in certain countries of residence, providing a more affordable option for those that want to access top quality medical facilities but do not need worldwide coverage.

The SimpleCare product is now available to customers in key markets including Africa, Hong Kong and Singapore, and will be rolled out in our other markets including Europe, the Middle East, Indonesia and China in the coming months.

Martin Garcia, Executive Chairman commented: “SimpleCare is designed to meet the needs of a new generation of expatriate - the growing numbers of younger expats moving abroad, most of which end up on local employment contracts. We set out to create an international health insurance solution which caters to these cost conscious, digitally literate expatriates, while still providing them with access to world class medical facilities and the high standard of service that Now Health International is known for.”
